William H. Imel

William H. Imel, 76 years old, passed away on February 13, 2025 at 11:59 PM at Center for Hospice in Mishawaka, IN.

William was born on August 15, 1948 in South Bend, IN to the late Joseph and Lois (Budd) Imel. On December 20, 1968, William married the love of his life, Rita (Mrozinski) Imel, who preceded him in death on August 18, 2016. William was also preceded in death by his parents Lois Imel and Joseph Imel as well as his siblings Roy Imel and Rose Britton.

William is survived by Children: Tammie Ross, Tony (Lisa Coffman) Imel; grandchildren: Tyler (Emily) and Evan (Katie) Ross, Noah Imel and two great-grand daughters Rylee and Paisley Ross.

In Williams younger years he played guitar and sang in a band called the "Impala's" and "For the Good Times". William retired from Lock Joint Tube where he worked as an Operator for 22 years. On Friday nights you could find him visiting post 284, listening to the bands and dancing. He enjoyed the outdoors and discovered a passion for gardening after retirement.

William will be Inurned at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
