Victoria Ann Sandoval (63)
December 15, 1961 – April 25, 2025
Victoria Ann Sandoval passed away on April 25, 2025, in her home in South Bend, Indiana, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Born on December 15, 1961, in South Bend to Carolyn Ann Landry-Skeen and Victoriano Ramírez, Victoria’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and a radiant spirit that touched everyone she met.
On June 19, 1997, she married the love of her life, Jose Sandoval. Their bond was unbreakable — a beautiful example of devotion, partnership, and deep affection. Victoria’s heart always belonged to her family. Nothing made her happier than having her loved ones gathered around her, filling the house with warmth, laughter, and the smells of her delicious home-cooked meals.
Victoria’s passions lit up every part of her life. She had a lifelong love of dancing, and even as illness tried to slow her, she kept dancing. She filled her days with music, dancing to her favorite songs with a joy that was infectious. She adored her faithful fur babies, and she took pride in always looking her best, getting dolled up with her signature flair.
Victoria gave her love freely, embracing not just her own family, but every soul lucky enough to know her. In her presence, strangers became family, and a simple gathering became a celebration.
Victoria’s legacy is one of fierce love, unstoppable joy, and a life lived fully, with music always in the air and love always at the center. She will be missed beyond words but carried forever in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn Ann Landry-Skeen and Victoriano Ramírez; her brother, John Ramirez; her beloved son, Roberto Antonio Fuentes Sr. and her precious great grandson Lucca Fuentes.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jose Sandoval; her cherished children, Veronica Anastasia Fuentes, Christina Maria Fuentes and Richard Kasznia, Alejandro Miguel Pedraza Sr. and Catherine Marie Paz; her adoring grandchildren, Maria Christina Kasznia, Lupe Salazar III, Michael “Mikey” Ezekiel Kasznia, Enrique Antonio Fuentes, Roberto Antonio Fuentes Jr., Fernando Alejandro Fuentes, Antonio Miguel Fuentes, Isabella Maria Fuentes, Jake Waterhouse, Alejandro Miguel Pedraza Jr., Adalia Marie Pedraza, Naomi Cecilia Paz, Cristian Santiago Paz, Mateo Rafael Paz, Jameson Lee Metz, and Elias Robert Lee; and her siblings, Rick Jones, Damian Ramirez, and Alicia Deleon.
Victoria’s legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren: Melody Renee Fuentes, Nora-Jane Victoria O’Neal-Fuentes, Aleia Demour Salazar, Jasmine Fuentes, Luna Fuentes and Sebastian Fuentes — the next generation touched by her endless love.
Beyond her immediate family, Victoria was blessed with many dear friends and extended family members who brought joy to her life and shared in her journey. She cherished her close relationship with her sister-in-law, Veronica Sandoval who faithfully came to visit her every Saturday and her bonus daughter Makayla Finley, who lovingly nursed and cared for her and graciously supported her family at the end of her life.
She carried a deep love for all those she welcomed into her heart. To Victoria, family was not defined by blood alone, but by the love and loyalty shared across a lifetime.
God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He wrapped His arms around her and whispered, ‘Come to Me.’ A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm, with a Funeral Service at 6:00pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN 46619.
