Stanley Skowronek, Jr.

Stanley Skowronek, Jr. 68 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023 at his home in Chicago, Illinois.

Stan was born August 9, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana, son of the late Stanley & Dorothy (Kaminski) Skowronek.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Joseph Skowronek.

Stan was born and raised in South Bend and was a welder and electrician. He moved to Chicago in the late 80’s where he was a commercial electrician for over thirty years. Stan was affectionately known to those in Chicago as “Stan the Electric Man”. 

Left to cherish the memory of Stan is his step-daughter, Reyna Lopez; brother, Anthony John (Cynthia) Skowronek of Waverly, Ohio; sister, Regina Marie (Michael) Chiang of Glencoe, Illinois; and nieces & nephews, Amelia Claire Chiang, Elise Noelle Chiang, Anthony Michael (Danna) Skowronek, and Victoria Jean (Alexander) Alonso.

Friends and family will be received from 9:00am-11:00am Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, with a Rosary to be prayed starting at 10:30am. A Funeral Service will be held that day at 11:15am at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 24980 IN-2, South Bend, Indiana. Fr. Cyril Fernandes will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
