Stanley Bartkowiak, 85 years old, passed away on May 8, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Stanley was born on November 14, 1937 in Gdynia, Poland to the late Andrew and Gertrude (Grzenia) Bartkowiak. Stanley is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Ursula Bartkowiak; his daughter, Margaret Edwards, and his brother, Zennon Bartkowiak.
Left to cherish the memory of Stanley are his children, Kathy Kaser and Andrew (Kristin) Bartkowiak; grandchildren, Kyle Dombrowski, Kody Dombrowski, Hannah Edwards, A.J. (Hanna) Bartkowiak, Jordon Edwards, and Joseph Bartkowiak; great-grandchildren, Mason, Sadie, and Jaxson; and his sister, Christina Laskowski.
Stanley moved to South Bend from Poland with his family in 1972 as an Auto Mechanic. He retired from Basney Honda after 28 years. During that time, he proudly became the areas first certified Honda mechanic. Stanley was passionate about politics and loved history. He was man who deeply loved and cherished his family. He will be greatly missed.
Per Stanley's wishes, no public services will be held. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family.
