Shirley Ann Grall

Rolling Prairie - Shirley A. Grall, 75, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Shirley was born July 5, 1946, in Indiana to the late Benny and Henrietta (Stayback) Ziemkowski.

On November 19, 1966, she married Craig (Butch) J. Grall who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Brian Ziemkowski.

Left to cherish the memory of Shirley are her children, Regina (Tim O'Connell) Kring, Mark J. Grall; sister-in-law, Cynthia (Paul) Means of Valparaiso, IN; brother-in-law, Tim (Ruth) Grall of Columbia City, IN; nephews, Eric (Carmen) Means, Phillip (Kathy) Means, Daniel Grall; cousin, Claudia Sprovtsoff; and very close friend and neighbor, Candy (Ron) Carriveau.

Shirley was a floral designer previously at Wygant Floral Company and co-owner of Dept 6 on Depot and retired from Michael Angelo’s Event Company. She enjoyed playing Pinochle at the Walkerton-Lincoln Public Library every Monday and any other opportunity that came her way. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching, especially hummingbirds and sandhill cranes, gardening, and she was a wonderful cook.

A private family graveside service will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN on August 12, 2023. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower RD is assisting the family.
