Shirley A. (Davis) DeCook, 88 years old, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Brentwood at Elkhart.
Shirley was born on May 23, 1937 in Belle Center, OH to the late Clinton and Minnie (Grow) Davis. On June 6, 1964, Shirley married the love of her life, Valaire DeCook, who precedes. Shirley is also preceded in death by her son, Don Michael Webb; and all of her siblings.
Shirley is survived by her granddaughters, Rebecca Webb and Rachael Webb.
Shirley was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church where she enjoyed working on many church projects. She loved shopping and buying things for others just to see the smile on their faces. Shirley also liked knitting, crocheting, and vacationing – especially travelling in their Camper Van.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm Friday, July 18, 2025 at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church, 1601 W Sample St, South Bend with an hour of visitation starting at 12:00pm at the church. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
Donations in honor of Shirley A. DeCook may be made out to St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church or Traditions Hospice.
