Sharon E. Roberson, 82 years old, peacefully passed away on January 6, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born on July 12, 1941 in South Bend, IN to the late Victor and Ethel (Reeves) Bowering. Sharon is also preceded in death by her son, Jim Kruszynski; and her siblings, Linda Wheatbrook and Victor “Hap” Bowering.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Roberson; granddaughter, Elnora (Joshua) Harpole and her children, Dakotah Harpole, Toby Harpole, Jamie Harpole and Zeth Harpole; grandson, Alex (Addie) Brando, and his daughter, Athena Brando; and grandson, Chad (Allison) Harpole. Sharon is also survived by her siblings, Eileen, Carolyn, Jim, Curt, Danny, Jerry, Sandy, and Mary Ann; as well as many other extended family members.
Sharon loved the simple things. Along with working 30 plus years at Stone Container before retirement, she loved to come home and tend to her yard and garden. She loved watching her hummingbirds, listening to Elvis, and watching her favorite shows – Wheel of Fortune and Walker Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris. Sharon also enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, and watching Notre Dame Football games with her grandson, Alex. Above all, she loved her family. Some of her favorite moments was going to Red Lobster or spending Christmas and Thanksgiving surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Friday, January 12, 2024 from 12:00–2:00 pm at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow immediately at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
