Sebastyan Van Spence

Sebastyan "Boo" Spence, 14, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday , April 23, 2025, at his home.

Sebastyan was born on September 6, 2010, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Ernie Spence Jr. and Jessica Sells. He was a bright and spirited young man who brought joy and laughter to those around him. His love for chess and video games made for cherished moments with his cousins, while his quick wit, dad jokes, and playful pranks kept his family smiling.

Sebastyan had a deep love for adventure, whether it was spending time at the beach, hanging out with his best friend Lucas, traveling to Disney World and New Orleans, or attending the Royal Rumble. He was passionate about basketball, enjoyed wrestling with his dad, loved drawing and cooking, and treasured lunch dates with his mom where he explored different Asian cuisines.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jessica Sells and Mikael Keith, and Ernie Spence Jr.; his grandparents, Teddie and Gidget Jackson, John "Blu" Sells, Jennifer Farren, and Edward and Debbie Keith; and his beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family: John Sells & Britany Medina, Elizabeth Mcentire, Jeremy Spence, Jazzamine Perry and Ricky Sells, Kristy Jackson, Kelsie Tomes, Xavier and Andrew Keith, Lenny Davenport, and Robert Gonzalez Jr. His warm spirit and loving heart touched all who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m.at the funeral home
