Ruth Rose (Golichowski) Holewczynski

Ruth Rose Holewczynski, 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 01, 2025 at Primrose Assisted Living.

Ruth was born on October 08, 1929 in South Bend, IN to the late Alex and Rose (Chudzicki) Golichowski. On April 07, 1951, Ruth married the love of her life, Clement Holewczynski, who also preceded her in death in 2014. Ruth is also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Golichowski, sisters, Geraldine Schmanski, Lorraine Nowak, and Rosemary Bella; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Holewczynski.

Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her children, Deborah (James) Keeley, David (Lynne) Holewczynski, Kenneth Holewczynski, Karen (Russ) Ciesiolka;, grandchildren: Joshua (Sarah) Holewczynski , Timothy (Emily) Holewczynski, Alicia (Drew) Sachau, Alex Holewczynski, Kyle Holewczynski, Paul Holewczynski, Jessica (Dustin) Fritz, and Ryan Ciesiolka, 11 Great-Grandchildren; and a sister-in-law; Dorothy Golichowski.

Ruth was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a member of ZB Falcons, American Legion Post 284, and the UFCW.  Ruth bowled on teams at ZB's, Bowler's Country Club, and PNA. She enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, trips to Las Vegas and Florida, and cheering on Notre Dame Football. Ruth dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. As a true Polish woman, she kept her home spotless.

Friends and family will be received from 10:00am – 11:00am, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Rd South Bend, IN 46619. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
