Ronald Szczypiorski Obituary

Ronald Alan Szczypiorski, 75 years old, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Center for Hospice in Mishawaka.

Ron was born on May 3, 1950 in La Porte, IN to the late Chester and Louise (Piechorowski) Szczypiorski. Ron grew up learning the value of hard work and how to fix things on the family farm in New Carlisle, and graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1968.  On October 4, 1975, Ron married the love of his life of 50 years, Beverly Rose Paschen, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Geraldine Miller-Versaw; and son-in-law, Bill Gallippo.

Left to cherish the memory of Ron are his children, Nick (Natalie) Szczypiorski and Lori (Steven Taylor) Szczypiorski; grandchildren, Emery Szczypiorski, Ava Szczypiorski, Blake Taylor, Reid Taylor, Matthew Gallippo, and Zak Gallippo; brother, Randall (Betty) Szczypiorski; sister, Cynthia (Jim) Levar; niece, Barb (Greg Reese); 7 nieces and nephews; good friends, Buford, Bill, Woody, Jeffy, and Bob Lewis – who has gone above and beyond in helping out with Ron’s passing.

Ron was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Terre Coupe and a proud member of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 3078, American Legion Post 297, and VFW Post 284. He honorably served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry Division, 805th Transportation Company. Ron found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—boating and spending time on the water, riding his snowmobile, and making cherished trips to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He looked forward to Friday night bowling leagues, and when that ended, Euchre with the guys at the PNA.  Ron and Beverly enjoyed traveling, including three memorable cruises to Alaska and several to the Caribbean. With the Reese family, many wonderful summers were spent on Lake Webster with their boats.  Ron also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, often surrounded by a large circle of family and friends, and going to the Blue Chip and Four Winds. Above all, Ron’s greatest joy was his four grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

A dedicated and hardworking man, he took great pride in building his auto repair business and car sales, Ron’s Service & Sales, for over 40 years and providing for his family, ensuring Nick and Lori, were able to graduate from Purdue University with little debt.  Together, Ron and Beverly loved taking care of their many dedicated customers and helping them with their automotive needs.
