Ronald M Batson

Ronald Milton Batson, 75, was called to his eternal home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Ron was born in South Bend, December 16, 1947 as a twin to the late Clifford and Jeannette (Robinson) Batson.  He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, at birth, Donald; his wife of 49 years, Carol Wieczorek Batson, brother, Terry Batson; sisters, Noralee (Ray) Showers; Stella J. Batson; and a nephew, Robert Batson.

Left to cherish the memory of Ron are his loving children, Lisa (Jim) Funk, Michael (Jennifer) Rairdon; grandchildren, Samantha (Sammi) & Christian Funk, Lindsay (Ryan) Taylor, Ben & Jake Rairdon; brothers, Allan (Sharon) Batson of Edwardsburg, MI., Bruce Batson of Elkhart, IN.; along with many nieces & nephews.

Ron served his country honorably as a Vietnam veteran from 1966-1969.

He served as a deacon at River Park Church of Christ and was the former owner/operator of McKinley Body Shop in Osceola. He retired as a heavy equipment and auto damage appraiser.

Ron loved his family dearly. His heart was broken over the loss of his beautiful, loving wife, Carol, 8 weeks prior. He is greatly missed by his family, whom he sacrificed so much for.

Friends and family may visit 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 23, 2023 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN where a Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 pm.
