Roland Dale Nelson

Roland Dale Nelson, 73 years old, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Embrace Care of Indiana in South Bend.

Roland was born on March 3, 1951 in South Bend to the late Norman Dale Nelson and Delores Ann (Martin) Nelson. On January 20, 2004, in the Philippines, Roland married the love of his life, (Gina Capao) Nelson, who survives.

Left to cherish their memories, Roland is survived by the love of their life, Gina Nelson; children, Issahlexine "IL" (Karter) Kistler, Christian Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Amber Nelson, and Angela Nelson; brothers, Robert Nelson, Larry Nelson and Terry Nelson; and sister, Sue Connor.

Roland had many hobbies in his life. He loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, watch Drag Racing and Nascar, and listen to Rock Music. His favorite hobby he enjoyed was fishing. He loved to take his boat out on an early Saturday morning and spend hours on the water. He also loved to go Bass Fishing and even participated in some fishing tournaments.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, IN 46619. There will be a time of visitation starting immediately following the service until 2:30pm.
