Robert "Bob" Ciesiolka, 95, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Primrose Assisted Living Facility.
Bob was born on January 19, 1929 in South Bend, IN to the late Forest "Curly" and Bernice (Stachowski) Ciesiolka. He is also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Brian Colburn; brothers, Dan, Bert, Jerry, and Leo Ciesiolka, and sisters, JoAnn Bell, Patricia Jackson, and Mary Ann Miltenberger.
Left to cherish the memory of Bob is his loving wife of 69 years, Joan J. (Pacholski) Ciesiolka; children, Rick Ciesiolka, Randy (Tery) Ciesiolka, Sharon Colburn, Russ (Karen) Ciesiolka; grandchildren, Joshua (Meri) Ciesiolka, Christy (Geoff) Dryer, Kim (Rick) Stephens, Jason (Meredith) Ciesiolka, Matt (Emily) Raygoza, Nicole (Russ) Brancheau, Justin (Alanna) Colburn, Jessica (Dustin) Fritz, Ryan Ciesiolka, Sami (Michael) Bower; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barb Gustafson.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart, Korean Service and United Nations Medals. He worked for the St. Joseph County Police for 26 years and served on their Honor Guard. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 357, Calvert Rod and Gun Club, and the FOP. He and his wife, Joan are parishioners at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, wood working, and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Bob will be Friday, December 27, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Funeral Home’s Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
