Robert Joseph Meiszberg

Robert Joseph Meiszberg, 93, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Southfield Village Nursing Facility.

Bob was born on December 13, 1930 in South Bend, IN to the late Amelia & Robert Meiszberg.  On March 02, 1957, Bob married his loving wife Elizabeth Ann (Tschida), she preceded him in death in 2019. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Meiszberg.

Left to cherish the memory of Bob are his children, Nancy (Mike) Gray, Michael (Julie) Meiszberg, Sandy (Paul) Holubeck, and Robert (Tammie) Meiszberg; grandchildren, Ryan (Elizabeth) Meiszberg, Kathy (Andrew) Gray-Barnett, Kailyn (Briar) Johnston, Matthew (Sarah) Gray, Brett Meiszberg, Kassidy Meiszberg, and Karsen Meiszberg; great-grandchildren, Casey, LillyAnn, & Waylon; and a sister-in-law, Josephine Meiszberg.

Bob graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948, then earned his degree for accounting at the South Bend College of Commerce. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1955. Bob worked for Bendix/Allied Signal for over 39 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of K of C, Council Number 553 and enjoyed many years bowling on their league. Bob also enjoyed going to the casino. He was an avid Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass, Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
