Ralph T Wituski

Ralph T. Wituski, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2025 at his residence in South Bend.

Ralph was born on June 23, 1947 in South Bend, to the late Chester Wituski and Genevieve (Tafelski) Wituski.  On October 23, 1976, he married Helen “Elaine” Wituski, she preceded him in death on July 7, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, James Ornat, and Joseph Garstecki.

Left to cherish the memories of Ralph are his two sisters, Christine Ornat and Judy Garstecki; and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was a lifetime resident of South Bend.  He was a faithful parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. He worked for the City of South Bend Department of Water Works as an inspector.  Ralph was also a veteran of the United States Army, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9820, and also of the American Legion Post 161. He enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making.  Ralph also was a fan of racing, especially Indy Car.

Friends and family will be received from 4:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday, August 12, 2025 with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:30pm at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, August 13,2025 St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 Grace St., South Bend, with a one-hour visitation prior to the mass in the church.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors.
