Patricia Ann (Wawrzyniak) Van Orman

Patricia Ann Van Orman, 80 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Healthwin in South Bend, Indiana.

Patricia was born on November 24, 1944, to the late Edward and Anna (Alexandrowicz) Wawrzyniak, Sr. in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from Washington High School in 1963, and on March 6, 1966, she married Dale Van Orman, who preceded her in death.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kim Niezgodski (Keith); granddaughter, Taylor Anne Niezgodski; brothers, Edward (Marcia) Wawrzyniak, Jr., Richard Wawrzyniak, and Raymond Wawrzyniak; and “soulmate”, Brittany Imler. 

Patricia was known for her wit, personality, and deep love for her family and friends. She cherished the time she spent with her daughter, granddaughter, and Brittany. A passionate traveler and lover of country music, Patricia found joy in the simple things—whether it was having a cigarette and margarita, admiring her beloved geraniums, or chatting with neighbors on her front porch. She loved to get dolled up for a night on the town. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, especially during her time at Healthwin, where she brought joy to many with her affectionate nicknames and infectious laughter. She will be missed dearly but remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Per Patricia’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend.
