Patricia Alice Gardner (Joachim/Chabera)

Patricia Alice Gardner (Joachim/Chabera), 58 years old, passed away at home on September 3, 2024. 

Patricia was born on August 4, 1966 in South Bend, IN to the late Robert A Sr. and Janice C (Stoffelen) Joachim. On March 12, 2021, Patricia married the love of her life Robert Gardner, who survives her. 

Patricia is preceded in death by her father Robert Joachim Sr. and brother Robert Joachim Jr. 

Left to cherish their memories of Pat are her mother Janice Joachim; her sons Tony (McKinzie) Chabera and Jeff (Samantha) Chabera; her sisters Brenda (John) Gaffigan and Tracie Nowicki; her ex husband Harry Chabera with whom she spent 33 years. She is survived by her grandchildren who meant the world to her Jace “Bear” Chabera, Jaxon “Squirrel” Chabera, Walker “Gerbil” Chabera, Beau “Chipmunk” Chabera. She was also an aunt to Craig Nowicki, Ashley Nowicki, John Gaffigan III, Austin Nowicki, Nathan Nowicki, Matthew Nowicki and an extended GiGi to Jasper Gaffigan, Gatlin Gaffigan, Huxley Gaffigan, London (Izzy) Nowicki, Gabrielle (Gabby) Nowicki. She was also a Daughter-in-Law to Lisa Cole. 

She has spent the last 2 years doing at home healthcare for Kaleidoscope services. Before that she spent 17 years at Cash in a Flash. 

Her hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren, playing darts and pool, watching NASCAR and TV shows, bonfires, country music “Luke Bryan”, but by far her biggest passion was taking care of her mother. 

There will be a visitation from 9:00 AM to 6:00PM Saturday September 7th At St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower, South Bend, IN. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM.

A celebration of life will take place for Pat at 24600 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M. on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
