Pascual Pedraza, 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Pascual was born in Linares, Nuevo León, and raised in Matamoros, Mexico, where he met his beloved wife, Raquel. He migrated to the United States in July 1962 and together they raised 10 children, leaving behind a legacy of 35 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Soledad (Cerda) and Roberto Duran, sister, Maria Lourdes Duran, wife, Raquel, and daughter, Cruz Espinoza.
Left to cherish their memory of Pascual are his children. Eduardo (Carmen) Pedraza, Pascual (Melchora) Pedraza, Raquel (Duane) Miner, Juan I. Pedraza, Jose A. (Lydia) Pedraza, Maria (Melvin) Winston, Jesse (Angel) Pedraza, Soledad (Barry) Jackson, and Benito (Athena) Pedraza.
Pascual was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a man of strong faith. He loved reading scripture, caring for his garden, and raising his chickens and roosters. His greatest joy came from time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep faith, and the love he poured into his family and community.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm – 8:00pm, with services from 6:00pm-8:00pm, on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 30, 2025 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
