Nona "Kathy" Katherine Jesensky

Nona Katherine Jesensky, 73 years old, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Kathy was born on May 30, 1951 in South Bend, to the late Paul and Laveta (Weaver) Stuckman. On September 14, 1968, Kathy married the love of her life, Gregory Jesensky, who survives.

Along with her loving husband of 56 years, Kathy is survived by her children, Kimberly (Wayne), Jennifer, Angela (Brian), Jeffery (Sally), and Christopher (Taylor); 15 Grandkids, and 11 Great-Grandkids. Kathy is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rebecca and Paula; and a nephew, Cody.

Kathy’s greatest accomplishment was her marriage of 56 years, she loved her husband dearly. She was also a wonderful mother. She loved her children and devoted her life to her family – taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathy enjoyed her dog, Scooby and spending summertime out in her yard with her husband and family. She also loved the holidays, flowers, cooking, watching soap operas, and doing crosswords with her husband. Kathy had a wonderful laugh and a smile that lit up the room, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by many friends, nieces, and nephews. She has touched the lives of everyone she has met and she will live on forever in our hearts.

Family will be having a Celebration of Life from 1:00pm-2:00pm Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home. Arrangements were trusted to St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend.
