Nancy M. Beitler

Nancy M. Beitler, 64, of Lehighton, PA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 10, 2024. Born July 13, 1959, she was the daughter of Donald J. Beitler and Genevieve (Kosik) Beitler.

Nancy was a resident of South Bend, IN for most of her life. She worked for the University of Notre Dame for over 30 years and served a number of roles throughout her tenure, retiring from Campus Ministry in 2020. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2021, to be closer to her family.

Nancy lived a life of service and volunteered with a number of charitable organizations throughout her life, including Busy Hands of Michiana and Our Lady of the Road. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Palmerton, PA.

Nancy was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Though she suffered from a number of health ailments throughout her life, she never let it deter her from living life to its fullest. She could often be found quilting or crocheting, creating gifts for family or items to help those less fortunate. She loved cooking for others and hosting get-togethers for family and friends. In the summer months, her favorite place to be was in her garden.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Jennifer Bascom and Kimberly Jacox, grandson William Bascom, sister Elizabeth Ann Evins, and companion Andy Belles. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
