Michael J. Finch

Michael J. Finch, 77, passed away on June 16, 2026, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born in South Bend on July 22, 1948, to the late Claude Finch and Josephine (Harmacinski) Finch.  

Michael was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He retired from AM General after 30 years of service.

Michael enjoyed being around children and adored spending time with family especially his nieces and nephews. He had a love for cars and trains.

Left to cherish the memories of Michael are his sister, Sylvia Finch; sister, Claudine (William) Cortier; brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Finch; also, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, James, David, and Paul Finch.

A memorial service for Michael will be held at 1 pm, Monday, June 29, 2026, at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Burial of cremated remains will immediately follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12 pm – 1 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
