Michael Andrew Banasiewicz

Michael Banasiewicz, 64, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on December 17, 1961, in South Bend, to the late Ronald and Jeanette (Joachim) Banasiewicz.

Left to cherish the memory of Michael is his loving wife, Penny Elliott; daughter, Jaime (Gary); brother, Steve Banasiewicz; sisters, Peggy Banasiewicz-Olmstead, Cindy (Damien) Cruz; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was born in and grew up in South Bend, Indiana, but lived the last 18 years in Toronto, Canada, with his wife, Penny. He enjoyed all sports, most of all was a Notre Dame fan, a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, and enjoyed NASCAR. Michael also enjoyed Hooters wings, and loved to go to concerts. He was a big autograph hound and made a hobby of it. He adored his dogs Chloe and Lexi.

As Michael goes to join Lexi and his parents, he will be missed dearly by those he leaves behind.
