Mark "Crater" Anders, 74, beloved husband, father, and uncle, passed away at home with his wife, Bobbi by his side on Sunday, November 02, 2025 at 2:30 in North Liberty.
Mark was born on March 14, 1951 in South Bend, to the late Leroy and Florence (Hoch) Anders. He is also preceded in death by a son, Joshua Robert; brothers, Roy, Tom, and Gerald Anders.
Left to cherish the memory of Mark "Crater" is his loving wife of 26 years, Roberta
“Bobbi “Anders; brother, Richard (Ruth) Anders of Canute, OK; and many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Crater retired years ago from Honeywell after 34 years of employment. He was a former member of the American Legion.
Crater’s passions that brought him the most joy were horseshoes, backyard cookouts, and bonfires. Most of all, he loved the time he could spent with his nephew, Nicholas Sula, who he considered his own son; along with the love he had for his niece, Nicole Sula, and a special love for his great-niece, Miss Bella Sula.
The family would like to extent a thank you to the Center for Hospice Care for the exceptional care and support they provided.
To honor Crater’s wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be made at sjfh.net.
