Marilynn C (Hedrick) Bender

Marilynn C. (Hedrick) Bender, 89 years old, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at her residence in South Bend.

Marilynn was born on May 25, 1936 in South Bend, to the late Thomas and Florine Buysse Hedrick. Marilynn is also preceded in death by her loving husband, John R. Bender.

Left to cherish their memories of Marilynn are her children, Rita (Brad) Swihart, Tim (Melissa) Bender, and Mike Bender; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, John (Liz) Hedrick:

In her earlier years she was active in PTA, Christ Child Society, Service Guild, Logan Center, and Hospice. She was a huge Notre Dame Football fan. Over the last thirty years however, Dementia slowly took its toll.

There will be private services held for Marilynn’s family at a later date. Marilynn's final resting place will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend.
