Luis M Murillo, 38 years old, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

Luis was born on May 22, 1988 in Huejiquilla El Alto, Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria (Vargas) Murillo, who survive. Luis is also survived by his siblings, Arcenio (Astrid) Murillo, Guadalupe (Tania) Murillo Jr, Alondra (Luis) Murillo, and Esequiel Murillo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

Luis had a true passion for being a barber and took great pride in making others look and feel their best. He loved spending his days cutting hair, listening to music, and enjoying the company of friends. One of his favorite pastimes was cruising through the countryside with the music turned up . He also never turned down a meal from Popeyes. Above all, Luis was deeply devoted to his family. He cherished the time he spent with his parents, siblings, cousins, and extended family, creating lasting memories with those he loved most. Known for his laid-back nature, outgoing personality, and warm spirit, Luis had a way of making everyone feel welcome and was happiest when surrounded by the people he cared about.

Visitation for Luis will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm Monday, June 22, 2026 at St. Joseph Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church with an hour visitation prior to mass at the church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend.
