Lucy A La Vine, 71, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Briar Cliff.

Lucy was born on December 16, 1952 in South Bend to the late Daniel and Bernice (Zeman) Hudak.

Left to cherish Lucy's memory are her siblings, Michele (Tom) Drabik, Linda (Rodger) Cornett, Anita Smith, Tim (Debra) Hudak, and Jeff (Gloria) Hudak; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & nephews.

Lucy was a graduate of St. Joseph High School class of 1972. She was a Parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, a member of West Side Democratic Club, Community Police "COPS", and the West Side Partnership Center. Lucy worked at several restaurants in the area, when not working she loved to volunteer for anything meaningful to her. She was very proud of her Polish Heritage and looked forward to celebrating Dyngus Day every year. Lucy had no children of her own but was a mother to any child she knew. She was a people person and enjoyed spending time and conversating with others.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 11:00AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
