Linda M. Andersen, 68 years old, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Grand Emerald Place in South Bend. Linda was born on April 24, 1954 in Madison, WI and her parents were the late James and Mary (Sailor) Kovacsics. On August 24, 2004, Linda married the love of her life, Paul Andersen, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2009.
Left to cherish the memory of Linda are her children, JoAnne Jester, Thomas (Emma) Klempay Sr., and Robert J. Klempay; son-in-law, Gregory Jester; grandchildren, David Rhoden, Dominick (Meagan) Rodriquez, Trevor Jester, Aidan Jester, Thomas Klempay, William Klempay, Alexis Tayler, and Kayla Thompson; her significant other, Eugene Povlock; and many great-grandchildren.
Linda was a confident and compassionate person. She worked as a caregiver at Corvilla for ten years taking care of people who were disabled. She was a member of the Gold Star wives, American Legion Auxiliary Post 357, and Lions Club. She organized Toys for Tots, and was the Family Readiness Group Coordinator for the 855th Quartermaster Company. She participated in the rosary club, the Drama Club, and many other activities at the Grand Emerald Place. Linda was also very family oriented. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. She could also be the life of the party. When her children were younger, she enjoyed taking them to the Post 284, the DFV German Club, and the William Penn Club just to embarrass them. She was an incredible woman and will be truly missed by all.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and then again at 12:00pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road.
