Lin Edward Williams

Lin Edward Williams, 83 years old, residing in South Bend, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Center for Hospice Care Raclin House in Mishawaka.

Lin was born on September 5, 1942, in Union City, Tennessee, to the late Richard and Jewel (Curtis) Williams, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 56 years, Linda Jackson Williams, whom he married on December 23, 1967; as well as his sons, Robert Beadin and Glen Heron; brothers, Richard Williams, Jr., Melvin Williams, Robert Williams, Sr., Bernard Williams, and Louis Williams; sister, Leslie Fowler and grandson, Robert Beadin.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Warren (Cynthia) Williams, Sean Williams, Kareem LaMonte Williams, Annette Williams, and Tammy Reed. Lin will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Kirklin Winters, Skyler and Aaden Williams, Dion and Megan Beadin; his sister, Barbara Shanklin; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Lin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the 60s. Following his military service, he built a career as an engineer with Bendix and AlliedSignal.

Lin loved fishing, hunting, and his dogs. He was also passionate about his cars and enjoyed working on them, admiring them, and talking them up. Whether outdoors with a fishing pole or under the hood of a vehicle, Lin found happiness in the simple things he loved most.

Above all, Lin was a man of deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Through the love, prayers, and faithful witness of his wife Linda, he developed a strong relationship with the Lord that remained the foundation of his life. His faith was evident in the way he cared for his family, treated others, and remained steadfast in the Lord.

Services for Lin Edward Williams will start at 11:00 am on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Redemption City Church, 1836 Portage Ave, South Bend, IN 46616, with an hour of visitation before the service. Private burial will be held for Lin later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, where he will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Linda.
