Lee Foldenauer Obituary

Lee Foldenauer, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Center for Hospice.

Lee was born in Michigan City on May 14, 1936 in to the late Lawrence Michael & Henrietta (Kabocinski) Foldenauer. On October 5, 1957, Lee married Dorothy (Landman) Foldenauer, she preceded him in death in 1980. On June 6, 1995, Lee married Diana (Hickman) Foldenauer, she preceded him in 2011. Lee is also preceded in death by his son, Gary Foldenauer and brother, Robert Foldenauer.

Left to cherish the memory of Lee are his son, Scott (Kathleen) Foldenauer; daughter-in-law, Peggy Foldenauer; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brothers, William and Michael Foldenauer.

Lee worked throughout his life restoring cars. He loved “Cord” (model of the Auburn automobile company) cars and spindizzies (tether Cars). Lee was a member of ACD Club, American Model Racecar Assoc., and parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, all mechanical vehicles, cars and planes.

A Mass of Christion Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Dr., South Bend, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
