Kim Marie (Hubler) Bjorkland

Kim Marie Bjorkland, 65, passed away on Monday, September 08, 2025 at her home in South Bend, IN.

Kim was born on March 16, 1960 in South Bend, IN to Robert and Helen Hubler. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Janet Holmer, and a niece, Michelle Shafer.

Left to cherish Kim’s memory are her son, Nicholas Bjorkland, daughter, Jessica Bjorkland; granddaughter, Chloe Bjorkland; sister, Christina Shafer; and dear nieces and nephews

Kim worked as a secretary for the South Bend Community School Corporation for over 25 years. Majority of her years were at Lincoln Elementary. She also worked in the Kroger pharmacy on Western for nine years. Kim was a parishioner at St. Mary’s National Catholic Church. She was a lifelong West Side resident. Kim grew up here, graduated Washington High School, class of 1978, and chose to raise her family here. She was dedicated to her family. Kim loved her children and granddaughter, Chloe dearly. She was also an animal lover, especially to her fur baby Tilly, who brought her much joy.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel.
