Julian Wlochowski Obituary

Julian Jan Wlochowski, 92, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Center for Hospice Care Raclin House.

Julian was born on January 02, 1932 in Nowy Sacz, Poland to the late Joseph and Maria (Antkiewicz) Wlochowski. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Janina Zaremba and Krystyna Nawiesniak, and a brother, “Ziggy” Zbigniew Wlochowski. On April 22, 1957, Julian married the love of his life, Halina Zofia (Skornog) Wlochowski.

Left to cherish Julian’s memory are his wife of 67 years, Halina Wlochowski; daughters, Martha (Paul) Gray, Ann (Mark) Campbell, and Caroline (Jeff) Moehlenkamp; grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Caitlin (Jason) Heintz, Vincent (Melody) Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Marissa Campbell, Haylie Moehlenkamp, Nicholas Moehlenkamp, and Jacob Moehlenkamp; great-grandchildren, Sloane Brown, Olivia Brown, and Nolan Heintz; and a sister, Halina Rola.

Julian was a Parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a member of the Polish Americans for Free Poland Organization. They helped the people in Poland get the medical attention and food needed to survive during communist time from 1980 – 1989. He enjoyed nature, spending time outdoors, watching old westerns, and helping his elder neighbors and friends.

Julian earned his diploma and worked as an electrician, then taught the trade to other students in Poland before coming to the United States in November 1960. After arriving in America, he worked as an autobody technician from 1961 until retiring in 1997. Julian was a very talented man, he could fix electrical, plumbing and any other home repairs. He loved helping his family, friends, or anyone in need.

On Monday, July 22, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, a visitation will be held from 10:00-10:30AM, with a rosary beginning at 10:30AM, and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00AM. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
