Judy A. (Bolka) Nowicki, 82 years old, peacefully passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2026 after a long illness.
Judy was born on October 9th,1943 to the late Roman and Helen (Zmyslo) Bolka in South Bend. On September 24, 1966 Judy married her loving husband of 59 years, Al Nowicki who survives. Judy is also survived by her two sons, Tom Nowicki and Keith Nowicki: grandchildren Craig Nowicki, Ashley Nowicki, Austin Nowicki, Nathan Nowicki, Matthew Nowicki, and Daniel Nowicki:
great grandchildren London, Gabby, and Brooklyn: and her sister Sharon McCallum and brother Paul Bolka.
Judy graduated from St Joseph’s High School in 1961 and worked for years at Kmart in South Bend.
Judy was an incredibly talented and creative artist who painted flowers and landscapes. She was also a prolific sewer and published a number of books about sewing. She also loved to take
photographs of the birds in her backyard, and particularly loved cardinals. She loved her family, and adored her great grandchildren, who always brought a smile to her face when they visited.
The family would like to thank the staff at Center for Hospice care for their wonderful care of Mom in her final days.
