Joyce A. (Platz) Eaglebarger

Joyce A (Platz) Eaglebarger, 86 years old, peacefully passed away on December 13, 2023 at home with her family at her side.

Joyce was born on June 6, 1937 in North Liberty, IN to the late David Ernest and Lily Rose Faith (Cripe) Platz. On October 13, 1956, Joyce married the love of her life, Charles O. Eaglebarger, who preceded her in death.  Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents, Lily Rose Platz and David Platz; her siblings, Evelyn Runyon, Robert James Platz, Patricia Mitchell, Larry Platz, and Mary Wilson.

Joyce is survived by her children: Karen Click, Charles O. Eaglebarger, Jr., Melissa Eaglebarger, Stacy Hamby and Patti Baxter; 7 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 33 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, David Ernest, Jr, Ruth Ryall, and John Platz.

Joyce loved to go fishing, especially on Fish Lake near La Porte. Anytime she could be out on a lake and spend the afternoon fishing she was thrilled. She also loved to do yard work and play poker.

There will be no services for Joyce at this time. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
