John Stanley Kujawa, 99 years old, passed away on November 12, 2022 at 12:30 AM at Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend, IN.
John was born on September 02, 1923 in Barberton, OH to the late Stanley and Pearl (Boziel) Kujawa. On October 08, 1949, John married the love of his life, Elaine Kujawa, who preceded him in death.
Surviving John are his children, Susan (Bernard) Mehall of Lake Wiley, SC, Linda (Gary) Layher of Niles, MI, and Karen (Robert) Lipinski of South Bend, IN, grandchildren; Jennifer (Nicholas) Oskay, Christian (Amy) Mehall, Joshua (Teri) Mehall, Sara (Eric) Dolezan, Nathan Layher, Ryan Lipinski, Kimberly (Brent) Van Tuyl; along with 8 great-grandchildren.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart for his services during WWII. John’s favorite past-time included following Notre Dame and the Chicago Cubs.
The family would like to thank Smith, Freddie, Shelly, and the rest of the staff at Healthwin Specialized Care for their exceptional care of John.
Friends and family will be received from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend, IN.
