Jeannine (Paczesny) Schlundt

Jeannine Schlundt (85) passed away on June 6, 2024. She was born August 27, 1938 in South Bend, Indiana, to Theodore and Martha Paczesny. She is survived by her sister, Carol Kumm, and two sons, Gerard (Susan) Schlundt, and Trell (Deanna Arnold) Schlundt. 

Jeannine graduated from St. Joseph High School in the Class of 1956.   

She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Schlundt, her parents, Theodore and Martha Paczesny, and her brother Theodore “Jack” Paczesny. 

Jeannine married Allen Schlundt in 1962.  Although she always considered her vocation as a housewife, she also worked at Midwest Sales and Service, Newman & Altman, and Memorial Hospital.  She retired from Notre Dame, after working in the Hesburgh Library, a job which she remembered fondly.

Retirement didn't slow Jeannine down.  She was driven by a desire to make the world more beautiful, always tending to her flower gardens and immersing herself in a never-ending supply of craft projects. 

A graveside service, a solemn occasion, will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery on July 3rd at 1pm..
