Jean N Wruble-Logan-Bojtor

Jean N. Wruble-Logan-Bojtor, 92 years old, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, May 29, 2026 at her residence in South Bend.

Jean was born on April 10, 1934, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Frank and Frances (Ceigelka) Wruble. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Logan, whom she married in 1955 and who passed away in 1974; her second husband, Frank S. Bojtor, whom she married in 1982 and who passed away in 2004; her son, Jeffrey A. Logan; grandchildren, James R. Logan III and Jessica R. Logan; brothers, Marion, Stanley, Harry, Edward, and Thomas Wruble; and sisters, Pearl Stownik, Angeline Campoli, Florence Martin, and Rosemary Bennett.

Left to cherish their memories of Jean are her sons, James R. (Peg) Logan, II and John J. (Loretta) Logan; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Jean worked as a Bakery Supervisor at the University of Notre Dame for 27 years before retiring. Never one to slow down, she continued working for another 17 years at St. Francis Convent, where she formed many lasting friendships with the nuns she loved dearly. Jean found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing bingo, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and listening to audiobooks from the library. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. Jean was known for her heart of gold, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She was also never afraid to speak her mind, offering honest advice and sharing her opinions with the same sincerity and love that defined her character. Her warmth, strength, sense of humor, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation for Jean will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 11:30am – 1:30pm with a funeral service starting at 1:30pm all at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, IN 46619. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in honor of Jean N. Bojtor may be made out to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
