Janet P Collins

Janet Patricia Collins, 75, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Janet was born on June 30, 1949 in Little Rock, AR to the late William David and Gladys Arbel (Burnett) Collins. She is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Pickens; grandson, Thomas Pickens; and 7 siblings.

On October 15, 2014, Janet married the love of her life, Sally McMillan. She survives along with her children, Tina (Jeff Fites) Klinedinst and David (Heather) Pickens; grandchildren, Zachary (Chase) Klinedinst, Tyler (Rachel) Klinedinst, Nolan (Addison Baumgart) Klinedinst, and Margaret Pickens; great-grandchildren, Norah & Alba Klinedinst; sisters, Dion (Tim) Odell and Betty Nash; special niece, Michelle Hayes, nephew, Billy (Kelly) McCrum, and friend/neighbor, Joe Rerick.

Janet enjoyed going to the casino, games on her tablet, clean floors, and loved spending time with her family and dogs, Sybil & Maisey. When she was working, she had a special relationship with each individual patient. Janet loved vacationing, especially on sunny, warm beaches.  

Visitation will be held 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, July 22, 2024 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. with a Life Celebration Service beginning at 1:00 pm. A private burial will be in Walkerton Woodlawn Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN 46614 or animal charity of donor’s choice.
