Jane Anne Volk

Jane Anne Volk, 70 years old, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Memorial Hospital.

Jane was born on August 01, 1953 in South Bend to George A. and Patricia J. (Schadt) Volk. She was preceded in death by her parents and fiancé, Michael Johnson.

Left to cherish Jane’s memory is her brother, John Volk of South Bend, cousins, and other dear family members.

Jane graduated from Jackson High School in 1971, then earned her Bachelor Degree from Bethel College. She worked for over 30 years at Walgreens. In 1978, Jane moved to Arlington, TX for a year, then to Tucson, AZ to live near her relatives until moving back to South Bend, IN in 1992. She was an animal lover and enjoyed watching old movies on DVD.

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00PM, with a rosary being prayed at 4:00PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue or cancer organization of donor’s choice.
