Obituary
Jane M. Hestad of South Bend, 86 years old, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in her home.
Jane was born on August 7, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was married for 49 years to the love of her life, Roger L. Hestad, he preceded her in death in 2005.
Left to cherish the memory of Jane are her children, Eric Hestad of Mishawaka, IN, Dawn Gillis of South Bend, IN, Darlene (Jim) Lopez of South Bend, IN, and Pam Cauffman of Mishawaka, IN.; grandchildren, Celena (Josh) Frederick of Defiance, OH., Steve Lopez of Las Vegas, NV, and Kurt Cauffman of Antioch, IL; great-grandchildren, Reece, Kami, and Keira Frederick of Defiance, OH. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Ann Monroe and Joseph Varga.
Jane enjoyed shopping with her three daughters, making crafts, and playing with her cat, Kitty.
There will be no viewing due to Jane’s wishes and cremation has taken place. A commital service will be held 10:00am Monday, April 3, 2023 at the mausoleum of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
