It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Rubleske, who passed on May 14, 2025, at the age of 81. James was born on December 2, 1943, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and spent his final days in South Bend, Indiana.
James was a perfect, loving husband to his wife, Judith Rubleske, with whom he shared an incredible 38.5 years of marriage. James cherished every moment spent with Judith and their step-children, particularly enjoying their shared passion for running. He proudly achieved a personal record of 20 miles, a testament to his dedication to health and fitness.
Throughout his life, James had a profound love for numbers. His career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as the treasurer of Kankakee Wetlands Organic Gardens was not just a job for him; it was a calling. James's interests extended beyond his professional life. In his younger years, he was an avid weightlifter and was known for his impressive skills in racquetball.
Although James was preceded in death by his parents, he leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration. He is survived by many beloved friends, clients, and family members who will carry his memory forward. The impact he had on those around him was profound, and his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
James Rubleske will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
