Isidro Alejandro Sandoval, Sr., 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024.
Isidro was born on May 15, 1929 in Mercedes, TX to the late Mauricio and Marianna (Alejandro) Sandoval. Isidro is also preceded in death by his grandson, William Sandoval; brothers, Miguel & Florencio Soto, and, Maximian, Esteban, Emilio, & Jacinto Sandoval; sisters, Juanita Sandoval and Roma Amador. On October 21, 1951, Isidro married the love of his life, Francisca Martinez Sandoval.
Left to cherish Isidro’s memories are his wife, Francisca Sandoval; children Maria, Isidro Sandoval, Jr., Frank Sandoval, Sara Alvarez, Mona Lisa Flanagan, Arturo (Jennifer) Sandoval, and Paul Sandoval; sisters, Luciana Perez and Ofelia Martinez; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Isidro proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and construction worker in his younger years, then worked for Pepsi, Seven Up, and Sears. A parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. An avid Notre Dame and WWE fan. A loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Thank you all for your service.

Visitation will be held 2:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road Granger, IN 46530, with visitation 1 hour prior in the church. Burial and Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend, IN.
