Helen "Elaine" Louise (Wojtowicz) Wituski

Helen "Elaine" Louise Wituski, 75 years old, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2024 surrounded by her family at her residence in South Bend.

Elaine was born on January 21, 1949 in South Bend, to the late Felix and Helen (Langner) Wojtowicz. Along with her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Georgiane Wojtowicz.

Left to cherish their memories of Elaine is her loving husband of 47 years, Ralph Wituski; siblings, John Wojtowicz, Joseph (Peggy) Wojtowicz, and Mary Ann Wojtowicz; and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She worked for the County City building in South Bend for 47 years as an Executive Secretary. Elaine was also the Valedictorian for both her graduating high school and college classes. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and was the St. Cecilia Choir Director and Organist for many years. She received the Holy Cross Priest Award for her dedicated service to St. Adalberts Parish. Music was her greatest passion in life. She would play the organ for multiple masses a day and for any funerals she could. She touched so many lives with the beautiful music she played. She will be greatly missed.

Friends and family will be received from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, July 11, 2024 with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Adalbert Catholic Parish, 2505 W Grace St, South Bend, with a visitation beginning one hour prior at the church.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
