Gwendolyn L. (Clough) Cartwright

Gwendolyn L. Cartwright, 94, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana.

Gwendolyn was born on August 15, 1931, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Charles and Wilamina (Dambough) Clough Sr.

On December 17, 1949, she married the love of her life, Devon "Bud" Cartwright. Together they shared many wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her son, Frank Cartwright.

Gwendolyn is survived by her son, Terry (Corina "Cory") Cartwright; her granddaughters, Casey Cartwright and Chasity (Bill) Risinger; and her great grandchild, Kendall Eash; and her great great grandchild, Hudson Eash.

Dolly spent many years as an assembler at Raco before retiring. Never one to stay idle, she later worked an additional 15 years as a cashier at Walmart before retiring once again.

Dolly and Bud shared a love of travel and would often go out west in their motorhome. In her later years, she enjoyed visiting the casino and spending time playing the slot machines. More than anything, Dolly loved time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends.

A Funeral will be held for Dolly at 1:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Joseph Funeral Home with 2 hours of visitation held prior (starting at 11:00 am). Entombment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
