Gloria Jean O'Banion

Gloria Jean O'Banion, 80 years old, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Gloria was born on January 18, 1945 in Mishawaka, to the late Frank P and Myrtle Hazel (Anderson) Hamman. Along with her parents, Gloria is also preceded in death by her loving companion, Joseph Krochmal; siblings, Frank P Hamman, Jr, Arvilla Reed, Johnny Hamman, Marvin Hamman, and James Hamman.

Gloria is survived by her children, Louis E O'Banion Jr, Patrick M. O’Banion, Candy Jean O'Banion, Rosemary O'Banion, and Myrtle O'Banion; 21 Grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and some great-great grandchildren.

Gloria loved to knit, do crosswords, make flowers, do puzzles, and she collected many things. She also enjoyed watching her 2:00pm Soaps, but most of all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial and committal service will take place Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:30pm at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in South Bend.
