George Bock

George Edward Bock, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

George was born on September 12, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Winona (Weeks) Bock.

On March 22, 1964, George married his first wife, Bonnie, and with whom he had a daughter. Bonnie preceded him in death in 2000. George later found love again and married Dorothy (Andrzejewski) (Flowers) Bock on March 1, 2003, with whom he shared many happy years.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Patty (Steven) Green; his stepchildren, Lisa (Karl) Jank and Brian (Rachael) Flowers; his grandchildren, Anthony Green, Nicholas (Madelyn) Green, and Patrick Green; his step-grandchildren, Drew Jank, Karson Jank, Robynn Flowers, Luke Flowers, Mary Flowers, and Bella Flowers; and his great-grandson, Gabriel Green.

He worked for many years at Honeywell as a designer. Even after his retirement he enjoyed spending time at their monthly retirement luncheons.

George had a passion for racing his sailboat on Lake Michigan. He cherished sunset sails with Dorothy and spending that time together. Some of his fondest memories were made with his grandsons, whether during Harry Potter movie marathons, dove hunting trips, target practice, or teaching them new skills such as stained-glass and wood working, two of his favorite hobbies. He and Dorothy enjoyed short adventurous trips on Sunday afternoons and their evening happy hours on the patio, where they could relax and enjoy the outdoors and each other's company. Above all, George loved life, laughter, and the time he spent with family and friends.

A Memorial Mass for George will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Road 933, South Bend, Indiana, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
