She enjoyed painting with oil, acrylics and water colors, drawing with pastels and charcoal, tole painting, along with gardening and making flower arrangements. Eugenia was a great cook and made incredible thanksgiving dinners; even when living in Oregon she cooked a turkey in a wood burning stove. Eugenia was a good mother, very outgoing and a determined woman; she was even able to convince the county to tar their gravel road while living in Oregon.
Eugenia and Rodney attended school together at Dondero High School in Royal Oak, MI. She and her family built an A-Frame cabin in Oregon and renovated their cottage on Magician Lake, MI, where she enjoyed going out on the paddleboat. Eugenia and Rodney were venerable bridge players who were ranked, and she was held in high regard by those around her-always ready to help others. She will be truly missed.
