Elena Carmona

Elena Carmona, 56, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at her home in South Bend.

Elena was born in Mexico on February 3, 1970, to Jose Loreto Carmona and Graciela Gomez.   

Left to cherish the memories of Elena are her husband, Enrique Carrera of South Bend; mother, Graciela Gomez of Mexico; daughter, Brenda Isabel Carrera of South Bend; son, Israel Carrera of Goshen; sister, Gabina Carmona of Mexico; brother, Roberto and wife Karina Carmona of South Bend; grandchildren, Jocelyn Carrera-King, Jesus Carrera-King, Jeremiah Carrera, Josiah Carrera, and Jayla Carrera.

Elena was preceded in death by her father, Jose Loreto Carmona, and her beloved son, Miguel Angel Carrera.

A memorial service for Elena will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, June 5, 2026, at Christian Leaf Center Church, 802 E. Ewing Ave. South Bend, Indiana 46613.
