Dolores graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She started working as an aide at Memorial Hospital and after some time spent away from the work force to take care of her family at home, she then began working at different nursing homes from St. Joseph Care Center West to Carlyle Nursing Home. She was a member of the Western Avenue Business Association and the Nursing Home Administrators. Apart from her great passion to care for the elderly, she adored spending time with her family. What made her and Gene the happiest was doing things with their family - she was a Den Mother for her son’s Cub Scout Troop, and supported her daughter’s rainbow girl group. Dolores was also a great cook, and took pride in preparing her large feasts for all of the family holidays.
