Diane M Burd

Diane M. Burd, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 90, in South Bend, Indiana. Born on February 12, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, Diane lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication to her family.

Diane was the daughter of Edna (Milhizer) Mullen and Timothy Charles Mullen. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James R. Burd, her daughter, Darlene Olnhausen, and her devoted parents. Despite the hardships of life, Diane's spirit remained strong, and she embraced each day with grace and kindness.

She is survived by her son, James R. Burd; two daughters, Judith (Burd) Copperstone and Faith (Burd) Nichols; and another daughter, Deborah (Burd) White, She was a grandmother to 23 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

As we say goodbye to Diane M. Burd, we celebrate a life well-lived, one filled with love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
