Deborah Ann Brown

Debbie Ann Brown, 70 years old, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at her residence in South Bend, IN.

Debbie was born on March 24, 1954 in South Bend, to the late Alex and Mary Jane (Harringer) Simon. On July 30, 1983, Debbie married the love of her life, Michael Brown, who precedes her in death.

Left to cherish their memories of Debbie, she is survived by Michael (Anne) Simon of Ozark, AL; her sister-in-law, Nancy Haywood of Mishawaka; her close friend and companion, Kenneth Donnelly of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Maggie the dog and Holly, Daisy and Rosey, her cats.

Debbie was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She graduated from Washington High School in 1972 before going to Michiana College of Commerce. She then worked in the bookstore at the University of Notre Dame for 38 years, where she retired.

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Debbie at a later date.
